That is James Gandolfini has been cast to play the mayor in Tony Scott's re-make of the classic seventies thriller 'The Taking of Pelman One, Two, Three'. Remakes are not a new fad, it's been going on for years apparently. It's the recent torrent of shoddy remakes that make the Movie Watchmen a bit fearful for this cherished, gritty piece of New York cinema. Also Tony Scott must have been a no-brainer for the studios since his bread and butter is action thrillers; although Mr. Scott's films are not noted for character and spice but more for excessive edited to the point of nausea (big sigh). I just hope this film doesn’t taint the original.
