We've seen a million best of 2008 lists in recent weeks (give or take 999,000) but not quite enough worst of 2008 lists. And given our love affair with schadefreude we can't resist posting this list of worst of the worst. We like this list because it doesn't just hit the easy targets (oh don't worry, it still hits them too), it also rags on some movies that really got their goat. Movies that they are calling bullshit on. Movies that were somewhat acclaimed but which seem to be wearing the Emperor's birthday suit. We can't say we agree with their choices necessarily but at least they haven't fallen into the trap that The Razzies did many years ago; being just as boring and predictable as the best-of lists.

What an interesting choice for No.1. I haven't seen the original but I actually thought Funny Games was fine.
My worst of 2008 are: The Bucket List, Jumper, 10,000 B.c, The Accidential Husband, Four Christmases, Babalyon AD
That's seven but, like most people, I tried to avoid going to see obviously bad films so some clear choices are not on my list. And I've seen 'The Spirit' and it definitely does not make my worst of the year list.
