What happens when you take the subtexts of a movie like Over The Top and amplify them to the max even to the point of going completely OTT (see what we did there? wink wink...don't leave me hanging...ah fuck you).
Suppose you could argue that this is far from a readable subtext of this innocent movie but then subtexts are whatever you want them to be. That's the beauty of them. That said, whoever read those subtexts is one sick individual. But it's okay, I'm taking meds.
