‘Wolverine’ Trailer

Here’s one of the first trailers out of the starting blocks for next summer’s blockbuster brawl. Maybe people don’t have high hopes for this origin story but the trailer does pack a punch. Although, there is just the slightest hint of Electra (cheap and rushed) emanating from this trailer.

All things considered, next summer en masse doesn’t have us wetting our pants with excitement since we will be watching the fallout from the Writer’s Strike earlier this year. As a result, the normal studio attitude of ‘Set a Date, write a half hearted script and push ‘em out’ was changed to ‘Set a Date, write a script before the Writer’s Strike begins next week and push ‘em out.’

Trying to avoid cynicism for a moment, we do pray that James Cameron’s Avatar (which he’s been working on since he was in the womb) will make all of the bad films worthwhile.
