Wouldn't it be great if all those old movies had mobile phones?

The answer is no. This video clip above shows why movies nowdays have to contrive the most ridiculous reasons for people not to have working mobile phones. I hear they are making a Scream 4 soon. Surely one of the ironic wisecracks will have to include some smart-ass reference to all horror movies including a scene where mobile coverage mysteriously goes down. Presumably the cast would otherwise ring their agents and ask what the fuck they're doing in Scream 4.
