The Dark Knight shows no signs of slowing down and even managed to keep the new Mummy movie off the top spot by a whisker. Estimates predict that it will pass $400 million today and looks like it could end up at around $480 million making it the second highest grossing movie of all time behind Titanic. The Mummy still performed well with just under $43 million, respectable numbers for what is not a very respectable franchise. The kids that are finding The Dark Knight too well, dark look like they are flocking to this inoccuous movie.
In other news, Kevin Costner's self-financed Swing Vote bombed in at number 6 with only $6.3 million. When are you gonna learn Kevin?!
