Hollywood Babies Part 4: James Cameron

If you like James Cameron you must see this! Apparently Cameron was inspired after watching ‘Star Wars’ and a year later in 1978 he produced this mini-SciFi epic.

It’s incredible how he still manages to create a decent action set piece on a shoe string budget. What’s more interesting are the little details that would later populate his most loved work; the resemblance of the evil robot to the ‘Hunter Killer’ machines in ‘The Terminator’ films; the ‘pods’ that mirror the subs used in ‘The Abyss’; the battle scene more than echoes Ripley versus the Alien Queen in ‘Aliens’ and to the mention the heroic female character which can be seen on James Cameron’s quilt covers. Let's not forget a dull plot which is just a precursor to kick ass action (woops!). It’s all here.

All you wannabe’s hang your heads in shame.
