In what seems a weird casting choice, Liam Neeson's new movie, Taken sees him play a bad-ass action star. At least that's how it appears in the trailer above.
In more familiar territory, he plays a father figure (again) whose daughter - played by Lost hottie Maggie Grace - is abducted. Rather than lapsing into existential angst, he basically goes on kickass revenge rampage using 'skills' he has aquired over the years, we're guessing he's an ex-marine or was a stunt double on the karate kid movies os something. Surely that will require some serious physicality from an aging Neeson. Still it's good to see him stretching his range.
