After Howard Hughes, Dylan and the Stones, word is Martin 'the Human Eyebrow' Scorsese is set to tackle the eventful life of Frank Sinatra. The dead crooner's daughter Tina is a film producer and seems to be the driving force behind the project - insisting it will put pay to the 'myth' that her old man was heavily involved with the mafia. She may have gotten the wrong man for the job in Marty.
Incidentally, there's a pretty good movie about Frank & his cronies already out there called The Rat Pack. It's a US TV flick, but you'd never know from the cast - Ray Liotta (Frank), Joe Mantegna (Dino), Don Cheadle (Sammy) - who does a mind-boggling musical number about the N-word - and William Petersen as JFK. Impressive, no? But if memory serves, Scorsese claimed that he'd only make his Sinatra movie if he got Travolta as Frank and Hanks as Dino.
