Confusing News x 2

1) Jonah Hill is to executive produce, co-write and possibly star in a re-make of 21 Jump Street. So that would mean Jonah Hill will be taking the Jonny Depp Role? We're confused. Surely this has to be a comic re-imagining in the style of Starsky and Hutch.

2) Nic Cage is to star in a re-make of The Bad Lieutenant to be directed by Werner Herzog. We're confused (although with Herzog we're always confused). This is a re-make of a movie that was only originally made in 1992 starring Harvey Keitel and directed by Abel Ferrara. Either we're getting old or this movie really doesn't need to be re-made unless it's to make it more accessable and pupulist (the last one was NC17) in which case, what the hell is Herzog doing on the project? And why would he want to do a re-make? We'll say it again. We're confused.
