Mamet & Martial Arts - Together At Last

David Mamet - he of the monotone dialogue and the twistiest of twists - has a new movie on the way, oddly enough about mixed martial arts, ie, UFC fighting. Stars include Brit actor with unpronounceable African name Chiwetel Ejiofor, proper UFC guy Randy Couture, various Mamet regulars like Joe Mantegna and Ricky Jay and Home Improvement's Tim Allen as a big action movie star. This all sounds so bizarre, we are officially intrigued. Mamet's other work as writer/director is up and down, but Heist, Spartan and debut House of Games are all choice and comedy State and Main is solid gold. Trailer for Redbelt above.
