The next project for Sam Mendes is an as-yet untitled comedy written by novelist, screenwriter and all-round cool guy Dave Eggers. Sam Mendes is top-quality director. Eggers is a top-quality writer. This project excites us.
Time for another equation. Quality + Quality = Well, a lot of quality. Add in two fine comic actors from two of the best comedies on American TV John Krasinski (Jim from The Office) and Cheryl Hines (from Curb Your Enthusiasm)and you've got a recipe for pants-wetting excitement and anticipation (and the inevitable let down when it sucks).
Oh yeah, we should probably mention that it's also co-written by Dave Eggers's wife, Vendela Vida, who is also an author but we don't know who she is and we're not gonna resort to Wikipedia and pretend to know. We'd prefer to see this as honesty rather than lazyness.
