I Have The Power! ‘Masters of the Universe’ is still alive!

Why should we even care but we do. It’s a cornerstone of culture for so many males who where glued to this cartoon back in the early and mid eighties. Even the most die hard fans where disappointed with the terrible Dolph Lundgren 1987 effort. The rumour mill has been churning for years on another ‘Masters of the Universe’ film, at one point John Woo was supposed to direct. But what was really exciting was the word on the net that the script was overwhelmingly good. And then it all fell silent.

Until today, (we shouldn’t lower ourselves to rumour and speculation) word is that John Stevenson, director of Kun Fu Panda, will be formally announced as director of ‘Masters of the Universe’. It’s weird, in hindsight the television show wasn’t very good so why should we care if ‘Masters of the Universe’ ever gets made? The answer, my soulless friend, is childhood and the ever-present and deeply disturbing urge to be back at Mother’s t…….. sorry. I Have The Power!!!
