Finally, A Trailer for Che That We Can Understand
There have been trailers for Steven Soderbergh's Che all over the place but up until now, they have been entirely in Spanish without any subtitles so they have been as useful as a BBC broadcasting standards watchdog. Zing. Finally, we have an international trailer, which promotes both parts of the two-part saga, The Argentine and The Guerilla. Apparently IFC films have picked up the united cut for distribution i.e. they will release the full 4 hour epic in one piece in New York and Los Angeles before the rest of the world gets to see it in two parts. Kind of the opposite of Kill Bill then.
In what is the best piece of casting since I broke my arm at age 11 (thank you again Doctor Reid) Che Guevara is played by Benicio Del Toro who will presumably mumble incoherently but engagingly as usual. At least this time, we'll have subtitles.
