Herzog is Bulletproof!

This clip from BBC’s ‘The Culture Show’ is about a year old now but if you haven’t seen it, you must. It features two of our favourite people; Werner Herzog (‘Aguirre’, ‘Fitzcarroldo’, ‘Rescue Dawn’) being interviewed by Mark Kermode (a hilariously opinionated film critic) during which Herzog gets shot by an air rifle on camera. What makes this incredible is how completely unfazed Herzog is by being wounded just inches away from his gentleman’s bits. Just goes to show that spending years in the Amazon jungle making visionary films with a lunatic leading man makes you impervious to everything!
