Nooohh Johnny!!

Johnny Depp has just signed on for Pirates Of The Caribbean 4! That sound you hear is the cash register ringing as Johnny sells out. Is there any leading movie star left in Hollywood with a shred of credibility and integrity. Depp was the last great hope. We didn't begrudge him his Pirates trilogy. The first was good fun even if the follow-ups stuck rigidly to the law of diminishing returns. It was understandable to finish a rounded trilogy involving a much-cherished character beloved of kids everywhere. So what if the last movie literally put me to sleep, we couldn't hold it against him. He had signed on after the first one (which was quite good) and plus, he's just too likable. But Pirates 4! There can be no artistic reason for this. Even if he claims it's for his kids. Isn't 7 odd hours of Pirates enough for them? The character is done to death. This can only be about the money. How disappointing. Who can be our great hope now? Maybe his hot wife.
