Bruce Willis and Alec Baldwin Like Beards...Allegedly

Reason 1: It's a sneak peak at Barry Levinson's new Hollywood satire, What Just Happened based on the tell-all memoir of Art Linson, the real-life Hollywood producer of movies such as Fight Club and The Untouchables. Word is it represents a return to form for Levinson who hasn't really had a hit in a while. It stars Robert De Niro and Bruce Willis (both of whom feature in this clip) and got a warm reception when it closed the Cannes Film Festival recently - in as much as anything gets a warm reception i.e. there weren't any mass walkouts.

Reason 2: This scene is apparently based on a scenario that occurred behind the scenes of The Edge when Alec Baldwin showed up with a beard on the first day of shooting, claiming it was appropriate for his character. He apparently refused to shave it and a scene not entirely unlike the one above occurred...allegedly.

Whatever. We don't really know what allegedly means. We think it means something along the lines of 'definitely happened exactly like this'
