An Advance Clip From Religulous

Larry Charles is a God around here. Let that fact remain undisputed. Who is he you ask? He was one of the head writers on Seinfeld, a director on Curb Your Enthusiasm and a producer on Entourage. He also directed Borat and is now teaming up with Bill Maher (think John Stewart with more controversy and polemic) to make another satirical documentary called Religulous about the world of religion and some of the more ridiculous beliefs and customs. Geddit? Religion + Ridiculous = Religulous!.

Following on from Borat's success it appears they are following the PR route of releasing clips and deleted scenes to whet the public's appetite. This doesn't seem as funny as Borat, which isn't a surprise. They are most likely making a less silly and more cerebral doc but what is surprising is that it actually comes off as being a little more cruel than Borat. Time will tell if the clip represents the tone of the piece and we trust in Charles!
