Vicky Cristina Barcelona

Here is the 2nd trailer for Woody Allen's new movie. Vicky Cristina Barcelona and we're gonna come right out and say that it actually looks good. Woody is always welcome around here and we'll forgive him his turds and turkeys and let him dine out on past glories. He occasionally makes something worthwhile. Sweet & Lowdown was great and wasn't so long ago. Match Point was a good watch and Anything Else and Melinda and Melinda had their charms. Granted, Scoop and Hollywood Ending sucked donkey balls but the man is getting old and he still makes a movie every year. Give him a break.

This one looks like a nice mix of light comedy, mystery, obsession, sexual tension and neuroses. It looks beautiful and the cast is hotter than the sun (see below). Could be a nice mix of Match Point and Hannah and Her Sisters. Then again it could be Allen channelling Almodovar and failing miserably. Fingers crossed it's the former, with a bit of the latter thrown in for fun.
