Hollywood Legend Baby: George Lucas
Well, we all had to start somewhere. Here's a look at George Lucas' student film '1:42:08'. Here we see a young experiemental Lucas glorifying Speed. This film shows us a filmmmaker interested in the energy of the image, the editing and the car. Focus on character and storytelling are non-existant, which isn't surprising since this trait is a constant throughout his films.
What do you think?
P.S. Apparently the car in this film is homaged to in Star Wars: Episode II as the speeder in which Anakin gives chase to an assassin driod in an early action sequence.
