Weird + Weird = Awesome

Lynch + Herzog = perhaps the most exciting movie news of the year (or at least of the day so far).
That's right movie geeks (a slightly different breed to movie fanboys). David Lynch and Werner Herzog are teaming up for a movie. The legendary auteurs (who might not get to be as auteurish on this production) are teaming up on a horror/thriller. Based on a true-life tale, My Son My Son is about a San Diego man who after becoming heavily influenced by the ancient Greek dramatist Sophocles kills his mother with a sword.

Sounds suitably demented. Let the countdown begin.
