Box Office News: Indy Rules...Everyone Gasps With Suprise
Here's the thuddingly predictable box office news for this week.
Indiana Jones is at number one with $126 million which is the 2nd best opening. This is the 2nd best Memorial Day opening weekend in history. No surprise there. The real test is how it holds up. Will word of mouth see it trail off or keep going strong. See our review here.
The other notable figures come from The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, which dropped off to $23 million after a modest enough opening last week. It seems it wont reach the heights of The Lion The Witch & The Wardrobe. Expect Christian conservative church excursions to keep the numbers steady in the near future.
