'Short Circuit' Remake....WHY!?!?!?

*sigh* It's so easy to see the Hollywood Studio accountants predicting the success of Pixar's Wall E and wanting to milk that cow anyway possible. How? By taking another cherished 80's children's film and vomiting it back out onto the masses. Just take a look at the original trailer of Short Circuit and remember the fun you had watching Number 5 becoming alive. (It in itself was a cash-in on the success of E.T. but we don't care, it was ours!)
