Prom Night Is A Hit? WTF?

Prom night looks like a steaming pile of dog poo. It scored only 23 out of 100 on Metacritic, making it one of the worst reviewed films of the year. It looks horrific, and not in a scary way.

And of course, predictably, it has opened number 1 in the states this weekend with $21 million (Click the headline for the rest of the Box Office News). And they Meet The Spartans at number 1. We can look the other way on the odd human rights abuse and the occasional flouting of the Geneva convention but this is unforgivable.

In case you think it's just a case of stuffy critics being out of touch with the people, audiences hate it too. IMDB and Metacritic user ratings are embarrassingly low. So who the hell is going to see this shit? Is the director some kid with a terminal illness who is being helped by The Make A Wish Foundation. Well guess what, my little brother's got cancer and he wishes this movie would fuck off and die.
