Hamlet 2 - Revenge Of The Original Movie

Here's the trailer for Hamlet 2 which was a big hit at Sundance this year. Obviously it's not a sequel to Hamlet and in this sequel-saturated age, it's refreshing to have a movie with an integer in the title that isn't re-threading some old material. It stars Steve Coogan as a failed actor (he's always a failed something-or-other) who is now teaching drama in a school. He and his students decide to stage his play, Hamlet 2.

This looks barmy but Coogan is long overdue something that shows off his talents properly and judging by the Sundance response, this could be it. It even looks like he might actually be doing a character that isn't a version of Alan Partridge.
